Relic Gravitational Waves and Cmb Polarization in the Accelerating Universe

چکیده
In this paper we briefly present our works on the relic gravitational waves (RGW) and the CMB polarization in the accelerating universe. The spectrum of RGW has been obtained, showing the influence of the dark energy. Compared with those from non-accelerating models, the shape of the spectrum is approximately similar, nevertheless, the amplitude of RGW now acquires a suppressing factor of the ratio of matter over dark energy ∝ Ωm/ΩΛ ∼ 0.4 over almost the whole range of frequencies. The RGW spectrum is then used as the source to calculate the spectra of CMB polarization. By a two half Gaussian function as an approximation to the visibility function during the photon decoupling, both the “electric” and “magnetic” spectra have been analytically derived, which are quite close to the numerical ones. Several physical elements that affect the spectra have been examined, such as the decoupling process, the inflation, the dark energy, the baryons, etc.

An Analytic Approach to the Polarization of the Cosmic Microwave Background Generated by Relic Gravitational Waves
We develop the Polnarev’s analytic method to calculate of the polarization power spectrum of the cosmic microwave background radiation (CMB) due to relic gravitational waves. This approach complements the more precise numerical results by providing insight into the physical origins of the features in the power spectrum. We make use of the WKB approach to handle the evolution of the relic gravit...

Gravitational waves are considered in thermal vacuum state. The amplitude and spectral energy density of gravitational waves are found enhanced in thermal vacuum state compared to its zero temperature counterpart. Therefore, the allowed amount of enhancement depends on the upper bound of WMAP-5 and WMAP-7 for the amplitude and spectral energy density of gravitational waves. The enhancement of ...

The tremendous experimental progress in cosmic microwave background (CMB) temperature and polarization anisotropy studies over the last few years has helped establish a standard paradigm for cosmology at intermediate epochs and has simultaneously raised questions regarding the physical processes at the two opposite ends of time. What is the physics behind the source of structure in the universe...
متن کاملRelic Gravitational Waves and the Evolution of the Universe
In the inflation cosmic models, the relic gravitational waves (RGW) generated in the inflation stage, and evolved in the universe until now. In the different cosmic evolution models, one can get different gravitational waves spectrum. In this paper, we give a simple formula to estimate the spectrum in a general cosmic model. From this spectrum, one can easily find the relation between the RGW s...
متن کاملThe Constraints on the Relic Gravitational Waves By the Current and Future Observations
In this paper, by solving the inflationary flow equations, we study the constraints on the relic gravitational waves (RGW) from the observations at large scale, i.e. cosmic microwave background radiation (CMB) and large scale structure (LSS), and those at small scale, i.e. the pulsar timing, LIGO, and big bang nucleosynthesis (BBN). We find that the current constraints on the RGW from small sca...
